Wayne Gardner and Barry Sheene Discuss How To Crash

Submitted by Rich Fowler on June 30, 2009 – 8:00 PMNo Comment

Who better to talk about the best way to crash than Barry Sheene. It seems Barry loved a good stack and in this video he discusses the best techniques with Wayne Gardner.

Ever the realist, Barry reckons that just letting go of the bike and hoping for the best worked well for him. Given Barry had more metal in him than a scrap yard, perhaps this was not the way to go.

In the video riders like Eddie Lawson, Niall Mackenzie, Kevin Schwantz and Randy Mamola give their two cents worth on how to best manage those terrible moments when they knew that they were going to eat it.

Unsurprisingly the high side is feared by all. You only have to look at some of the heavy crash landings to know that Grand Prix Motorcycle riders are a different breed.
