Well gang… Stefan Bellof’s amazing Group C Porsche 956 record around that track is the most amazing thing I had ever witnessed at the track,
and your right Johnny Sport, they must be completeyly mad…
but hell I would love to do it with David Brabham or Tarquini or Jochen Mass or the carzy Keke Rosberg :-}

Good point, James – I completely overlooked the bikes. Deplorable, as I am a massive bike fan! Have added some stats about the bike GPs on the Nordschleife at the bottom of the story. Did you know that in 1965 and 1968, the GPs (125, 250 and 500) took place on the neighbouring Sudschleife?
