Brundle 1992 Benetton B192

“The car immediately feels comfortable, like meeting up with an old friend again.”

Last raced at the Australian Grand Prix in 1992, Benetton’s B192 was Martin Brundle‘s most competitive ride. The pair formed a special bond throughout the 1992 season, during which Brundle drove the B192 to 6th in the World Drivers’ Championship and put himself on the podium five times.

Brundle and the B192 are reunited in this video, which hops on board the B192 for a spin around Silverstone. Brundle picks up pace as he talks about the experience of driving the B192, racing Senna in the British Grand Prix and more.

Martin is such a great broadcaster!

However, I disagree with Damon when he characterizes the 90s as being an era “dominated” by Schumacher. 7 different champions in 10 years hardly show any dominance by any driver.

If anyone dominated the era, it was Adrian Newey, who designed the cars that gave the divers championship to Mansell, Prost, Hill, Villeneuve and Hakkinen (x2), as well as 5 constructors championship to Williams and 1 to McLaren.

The early 2000s on the other hand were unquestionably all about Schumacher.
