1993 500cc World Champion, Kevin Schwantz, and fellow GP veteran Randy Mamola will be taking to the tarmac at the 2012 Isle of Man TT as part of a star-studded parade lap around the legendary Mountain course, presented by Arai Helmet.

The closed-road lap will be a first for both men, who share a great respect for the riders who’ve made the TT their own over the years, and are excited to give it a go at speed themselves.

“The top TT racers are respected around the world and I’m really looking forward to experiencing the famous Mountain course first hand.”

Propelling them around the classic course will be a Suzuki GSXR-1000, for Schwantz, and Ducati Panigali, for Mamola.

They’ll be joined by World Suprebike and British Superbike Champion Neil Hodgson on another Ducati Panigali, with 2009 Supersport Champion Cal Crutchlow representing the youngsters.

The TT will be represented by eleven-time TT winner, Phillip McCallen, riding a Honda RC45 and eight-time winner Ian Hutchinson, who, in 2010, equalled, then beat, McCallen’s four-win TT record by pulling off a clean sweep and winning all five solo TT races.

It’s all been organised by Arai Helmets, who are “delighted to be able to offer our riders past and present the chance to appear on a parade lap around the Mountain Course and we hope that the fans enjoy the sight of these Motorcycling legends appearing on the track.”

We certainly will!
