tumblr_ms1j8nRvJ81qke845o1_1280Spend a piece of your Sunday reliving the glory of Mercedes at the 1955 Belgian Grand Prix.

This feature length documentary was commissioned by Shell in 1955 to tell the story of the Belgian F1 GP of the year, making it an excellent high quality production, and an absolute treat to watch.

(Spoiler alert) The race sees Mercedes take first and second place with Fangio and Moss at their wheels respectively, making the 1955 Belgian GP one of  four that Fangio would win in 1955 – failing to win a race that he finished only once during the entire year.

The film follows the progress of the thirteen drivers as they tackle the high-speed circuit, reaching record-breaking average speeds of over 120mph around the 9-mile track.
