A Classic Competition Cobra: 1966 AC Shelby 427 Cobra For Sale

This gorgeous ’66 427 Cobra has been stomping historic races for the past quarter century with its owner of 35 years, and is now up for sale at Fantasy Junction, ready to head to a new owner and its next few decades of historic racing action.

Bought new by a plucky eighteen year old in 1966, it was crashed in ’67 and remained a wreck as it passed between three owners and some sixteen years.

In 1983 it received a full restoration to competition configuration with a new alloy body. In 1990 it won first place at SAAC-15’s 427 Competition Cobra popular vote, and began an active historic racing career which extends to this day, racing at Monterey, Le Mans, Daytona and more.
