Ari Vatnen throws the inertia of his little Rothmans Ford Escort 1800 around.
He managed to finish 5th overall for the year, including podiums in Finland, Canada and New Zealand. Two years later he would become World Rally Champion whilst again driving the Escort RS1800 for Rothmans in 1981. At age of 29, he was the youngest Champion of his time.
