Monaco 1974 – Emerson Fittipaldi – Photo of the Day
The Grand Prix of Monaco 1974 wasn’t won by Emerson Fittipaldi, however that doesn’t detract from the magic of this photo. It perfectly captures not only what must have been a thrilling moment in time, but an exciting, never to be repeated era of Formula 1 glory.
Niki Lauda took the pole at F1 GP Monaco 1974, but it would be Ronnie Peterson who won the race. Emerson Fittipaldi actually came fifth, however history would see him become Formula World Champion by the end of the year. Third place (at Monaco 1974) Clay Regazzoni would be the one snapping at Emmo’s heels by the end of the season.
