The 1989 Indy 500 featured a spectacular finish, and is often remembered as one of the most exciting of all time. The video below allows us to relive the spectacular moment that Al Unser Jr and Emerson Fittipaldi came together in a collision that would decide the race, and result in the photograph above.

It was the first time that a total prize of more than $1 million would be offered for an Indy 500, and the first of two times that Fittipaldi would place first at the event. The result was one of the coolest photos ever taken involving a race car, and boy did Emerson earn it!
