Climb Dance

This has to be my favourite motorsport video of all time.

This classic short film shows 1981 World Rally Champion Ari Vatanen completely attacking The Pikes Peak International Hillclimb on his way to a record breaking run in 1988.

Vatanen, driving the four wheel drive, four wheel steering, turbo charged 600HP Peugeot 405 T16, shaves the cliff edges with precision and even has time to drive one handed to keep the sun out of his eyes! Fever.

Yes, it’s amazing. But have you ever seen ‘Fasczination at the Nurburgring’? (correct German spelling) The ruf CTR Yellow Bird being driven like this around the ‘Ring. 550 BHP. Rear wheel drive. 180MPH power slides. Way cool.
