This is the latest in our series of  photo specials showcasing the stunning images from the Cahier Archive. The collection, by photographers Bernard Cahier and his son Paul-Henri are part of a massive collection of 400 000 originals of which 17 000+ pictures are currently available on their website.

    Also the De Angelis Simpson helmet, and Senna in Japan.

    Very nice, but must say, a little disappointed not to see any late 70s-early 80s GPA helmet represented, the one with the unique closing system rather than a chin strap. It’s an absolutely beautiful helmet (my all-time favorite, in fact). I had two of them in my early racing years! Liked them more than my Bell Star, Nava, Bell XFM-1, or even my Arai GP-3. My Arai GP-5, though, was a work of art.
