Slick Attire Retro T-Shirts

Submitted by on July 20, 2009

Here are some rather cool retro motorsport inspired T-shirts from UK mob Slick Attire.

Stocking “distinctive apparel for the discerning petrolhead” the company also offers “other goodies such as canvas prints, decals and free wallpapers for your computer too.”

Included in the range is the BMW 320i Group 5 racer from the BMW Junior-team of the late seventies. The BMW team battled it out with the Team Zakspeed Escorts and won the European Touring Car Championship in 1978 and 1979 with drivers such as Bruno Giacomelli, Eddie Cheever and Marc Surer.

Next up  is the Ford GT40 T- shirt. We like this one because of the  design depicting the 40 inch height of the Le Mans winning machine. A great conversation starter for those less familiar with where this famous Ferrari beater acquired its name.

The final shirt pictured here features the artwork of Russell Brockbank, the celebrated motoring cartoonist . Brockbank’s wonderful artworks graced the pages of Motor and Punch throughout the 50s, 60s and 70s. The Brockbank Partnership hooked up with Slick attire to create this charming little number.

One of these specialist T-shirts is a worthwhile addition to any wardrobe.
