500cc GP winner Kevin Magee set for HBBB 2011

Submitted by on April 10, 2011

Motorcycling Australia (MA) is pleased to announce former 500GP and World Superbike winner Kevin Magee as the latest big name to sign up for the 2011 Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza (HBBB) at Easter.

Magee, who shot to fame as a member of the illustrious Lucky Strike Yamaha team run by triple world 500cc Champion Kenny Roberts, will ride a Yamaha TZ350 at the event.

Although the effects of several serious injuries eventually forced his retirement from top level competition, Magee has stayed closely connected to the sport and has carved out a second career as a television presenter with the FOX/Speed Channel in addition to road testing the latest sports machines for motorcycle magazines.

With a record number of participants already pre-entered, those wishing to participate in the 2011 HBBB must now enter at the event.

The 2011 HBBB will be held 22-23 April, with the Gala Dinner at the Broadford Community Hall on Saturday evening.

The dinner is limited to 130 places and tickets are selling fast, so booking should be made as soon as possible with the event organiser Peter Drakeford on the details listed below.

Stay tuned to the MA website where all the latest news and information about the 2011 HBBB will be posted – including details of headline acts – and where you can re-live all the action from the 2010 HBBB through our news and photo galleries.
