The Australian Muscle Car Masters are back for 2011, taking over Eastern Creek International Raceway on the 4th of September and letting the big guns loose in celebration of Australia’s motorsport heritage.

The event will feature round 4 of the Touring Car Masters series, a massive field of Group A and C Touring Cars, 40th anniversary celebrations for the quintessential Australian muscle car – the Ford Falcon GT-HO Phase III – and the Valiant Charger R/T E38, the Sports Sedan Spectacular, and more.

Headed by Dick Johnson’s #17 Tru-Blu Falcon, the Master Blast sessions will have a formidable field of famous racing cars out on track, blasting through a few laps of Eastern Creek. Tru-Blu will be joined by John French’s factory XY GT-HO Falcon from 1971, Frank Matich’s Matich A50 Formula 5000, and two cars which need no introduction – Porsche’s ’87 962c and ’79 935 ‘Moby Dick’.

We’ll be bringing you more as details unfold, and you can head to www.musclecarmasters.com.au for the official word.
