Double de-clutching down a few gears from our flat-out, full noise peek at Group B, this video takes a much more introspective look at the sport, soaking up the beauty and spectacle of an era that only knew life flat out and pushed to the limit, by slipping it into slow motion.
And it’s actually quite powerful, especially knowing the danger and the history behind Group B. There’s subtlety, nuance and grace in these crazy machines, the way they were driven and the bonkers situations they did it all in, and slowing things down gives you a chance to reflect on it all.
