Retro Moto Sketches

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a modern dirt bike, but with the look of a classic machine from the 70s or 80s?

Well Oberdan Bezzi has been thinking about it, and the results are these mouth watering retro wonders.

Bezzi is a designer working in the two wheeled space and in his spare time has been creating these digital sketches of KTM’s, Beta’s, Penton’s, Yamaha’s, Monark’s and Husky’s to name a few.

The designs have certainly got my mind racing and now all I can think about is if I could fit a new KX450F power plant into an old ’83 Kawasaki KX500 frame? Would that make a fun machine? Hard to say, but food for thought. I would certainly like to see one of these creations come to life, particularly the 81 KTM GS 125 concept. I loved those early 80s KTM’s and Kawasaki’s that had the number plate incorporated into the rear guard.

Bezzi certainly has a fertile mind and you can check out more of his wonderful conceptual designs on his site here.
