Wonderful story of two really greats of the seventies. Everything is so sanitised in both bikes and cars today that we can no longer feel the reality of the skills the modern men possess. A bit like the old pit circumstance where when you were in it, you felt like you were part of the scene and even if you didn’t have the skill, the courage or the resources you had some thing in common with the heros. You were there.

What a great documentary. The contrast between the 70′s Grand Prix scene and today’s corporate contolled events is astounding. They were like rockstars with groupies, and no paparazzi chasing them or moral judgements from the media. A stark contrast to Tiger Woods who was forced to publically apolgise for banging a handful of cocktail waitresses. Surtess says it best.’Instead of chasing girls after a race like we did in my day, they go and thank vodafone’ Or Steve Parrish’s quote: ‘drivin’ ridin’ & shagging’ A great watch.

Great documentary. These guys are the last of long breed of rebels. You could not get away with this stuff today! Makes me long for the days of the 70′s. I personal think that is what is missing today. Some guys live on the edge and that what makes them great. Good watch! Keep it up.

I had the pleasure to meet James Hunt in Argentina. He was handsome, charming and exquisite. So funny! And very serious explainning me why he didn’t want to drive any more. I miss him and Senna also. F1 is not the same without them and without the presence of so many that died in the 70′s.

Well what could have been great was ruined by self self pontificating journalistic management types who neve achieved a thing – the accolades go to the man in the ring, the one who makes the moment not the self serving dogs who gain noteriety by pulling them down.
