Driving Adventures European Tour

Our friends at Driving Adventures run wonderful motoring culture driving tours around Australia. Their magnum opus, however, is the European Tour they run each year.

The 2016 Driving Adventures European Tour will be held in September 2016 and is looking to be another unforgettable automotive adventure.

The idea behind the European Tour is to take in as much of Europe’s incredible motoring culture as possible and to do so at a relaxed and enjoyable place, making sure to slow down and take in the other pleasures of travel along the way. It’s all about awe-inspiring driving roads, icons of motoring and motorsport, great food and shopping and an enjoyable social experience.

The tour visits St. Bernard Pass, Cannes, Cinque Terra, Col de Turini, Cortina, Ferrari, the Furka Pass, Goodwood, the Mercedes Museum, St. Moritz, Route Napoleon, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the Pistenklause, Porsche, Portofino, Siena, Sirmione, Spa Francorchamps, the Stelvio Pass and more over the course of a three week adventure.

If that all sounds a bit hectic, fear not – the tour is designed to be flexible to your own schedule and pace. Your days are your own and you’re free to linger in a location you love, hit up a route or side-trip you’re interested in or just try to pack as much as possible into a day.

Speaking of the routes, they’ve been specifically designed for driving pleasure and take in some of the most memorable and enjoyable in Europe. Driving Adventures provide road books and detail the exact routes to take for maximum driving enjoyment.

The tour has run successfully since 2012, and the team have the organisation and day-to-day running down to a fine art. The hotels are lovely, the dining is superb and Driving Adventures’ Maryann & David Thomas are on hand to make sure the experience is unforgettable.

The 2016 European Tour package includes all hotels and breakfasts. A special Goodwood Package including spectator entry to the Goodwood Revival, three-day Grandstand seating pass, lunches and accommodation is available as an optional extra, as is a Peugeot RCZ rental car for the trip.

The Driving Adventures 2016 European Tour will run from Monday the 12th of September through to Saturday the 1st of October, 2016. If you wish to hit up the Goodwood Revival (we would), that starts on Friday the 9th of September and joins the rest of the tour on Monday the 12th.
