Michael and Graham Turner Motorsport Art

Submitted by on October 30, 2009

Michael Turner has been producing paintings, prints and cards since 1963. Today he is one of the world’s best known and highly respected Motorsport artists.

His son Graham Turner’s paintings have been published alongside those of his father for the past 25 years.

Both their styles are characterised by extensive research and meticulous realism. The prints beautifully capture the energy, drama and colour of motor racing.

Many of the world’s best loved drivers, cars and classic moments have been captured, including Australian hero Alan Jones taking his Williams FW07 to victory at Brands Hatch in 1980, the victorious Martini Porsche 917K  blasting through the Mulsanne kink at Le Mans, the winning Ford GT40 battling for the lead during the final laps of Le Mans in 1969, Denny Hulme hurling his Brabham to victory during the 1967 Monaco Grand Prix, Gilles Villeneuve and Didier Pironi dueling for the lead in their Ferraris during their epic, and bitter race long fight in ’82 and Jim Clark putting in a masterly drive in his Lotus-Climax to win the 1963 Belgian Grand Prix on the storm drenched Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

The prints are excellent value, with prices starting at A$40 and represent a great historical momento of the actual events.
