O’Neal MX- Celebrating 40 years

Submitted by on October 6, 2009

One of the world’s greatest and most enduring motocross brands, O’Neal, is set to celebrate its 40 year anniversary in 2010.

To commemorate the occasion they have released a cool catalog with a shots of all their sponsored riders, logosĀ  and many products from the past 40 years.

The rider who really put O’Neal on the map was three time 500cc MX World Champion (’80, ’81, ’84), Andre Malherbe, who is sadly confined to a wheel chair these days after a terrible crash during the Paris-Dakar Rally.

In the catalog, founder and racer Jim O’Neal tells a great little story about his old fridge…”that old fridge is covered with hundreds of stickers that contain the logos of products we distributed and raced with over the past 40 years. Its funny how an old ice box can be worth so little yet mean so much. I guess I’m lucky…Our fridge holds a lot more than just cold beer.”
