Retro Husqvarna Gear

Submitted by on December 6, 2009

Check out this cool range of retro Husqvarna apparel. It’s good to see a brand with a successful motorsport pedigree celebrate its roots with a range of historically inspired gear.

Husky have been making motorcycles since 1903. Originally the then Swedish firm made motorcycles for street use, and competed at road circuits such as the Isle of Man TT in the 1930s. The retro range includes references to those early days, with a few of the T shirts featuring stylised imagery of those rare early Husky road racers.

Of course the brand is best known for producing world championship winning motocross and enduro bikes. Their stunning red and white, two-stroke engined dirt bikes of the 1960s helped make the once dominant British four-stroke motorcycles obsolete and earned the brand cult status.

Much of the retro gear includes the red and black pre-1973 “crown” logo that will bring back memories of Husky’s domination of motocross in the 60s and 70s, when they collected 14 Motocross world championships in the 125 cc, 250 cc and 500 cc classes and 24 enduro world championships.

The fashionable range includes T shirts and hoodies and starts at A$60. The gear is available in Australia through husqvarnamotorcycles.com.au
